Up and coming teenage tennis star Caroline Wozniacki won her 1st WTA title for 2009 last week against Canadian Aleksandra Wozniak 6-1, 6-2 at Ponte Verde Beach, Florida. This is her 4th WTA career title.Wozniacki is the only Danish woman currently in the top 100. A string of victories in 2008 pushed her career-high ranking to number 12 from 64 puts her on Tennis Runway Spotlight. The 18-year-old player from Odense moves beautifully off the court and her latest victory in Ponte Verde Beach puts her center stage in the Tennis Runway spotlight.
After losing to Australian wild card Jelena Dokic at this year’s Australian Open it would be interesting to see how she performs in the other Grand Slams this year.
